The ideal candidate will have over three years of HSE experience, preferably in construction or oil & gas. Responsibilities include assisting in HSE policy development, conducting safety training, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, along with a relevant Bachelor's degree and essential certifications like NEBOSH.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an HSE role (Coordinator or Officer level).
  • Prior experience in construction, oil & gas, or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project HSE Manager in developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and HSE training sessions.
  • Monitor daily site operations for compliance with HSE standards.
  • Participate in incident reporting and corrective measures.
  • Maintain HSE documentation and inspection records.
  • Support coordination on HSE matters across project teams.

Summary

Royal International Construction is looking for a dedicated and proactive Project HSE Coordinator to support the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across our projects. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring compliance with company policies, project-specific safety requirements, and local regulatory standards, helping to maintain a culture of safety excellence on site.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Project HSE Manager in developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans.
  • Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and HSE training sessions to ensure safety awareness among site personnel.
  • Monitor daily site operations to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE standards and legislative requirements.
  • Participate in incident reporting, investigation, and implementation of corrective measures.
  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation, inspection records, and audit reports.
  • Support coordination between project teams, subcontractors, and management on all HSE matters.
  • Promote a positive and proactive safety culture across all levels of the project.

Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an HSE role (Coordinator or Officer level).

Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Certifications (Mandatory & Preferred)

Essential:

  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC)

Preferred / Valuable Certifications:

  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour Certification
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of HSE management systems and ISO standards.
  • Familiarity with local and national HSE laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
