Job description

Overview

As an Engineer you make a difference by knowing exactly what the customer needs. As an Engineer for technical installations/cables and pipelines you design during the tender and execution phases for public lighting the installation, removal and maintenance of cables and pipelines in the realization of projects such as motorways, quay walls, bridges, tunnels, container terminals, berths and jetties.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, advise and support the consultant on issues concerning public lighting and cables and pipelines.
• Prepare and develop the design of public lighting in the various phases of the project.
• Prepare and develop route designs and relocation plans for cables and pipelines in the various project phases.
• Support the control of the delivery files.

Your qualities

You can make your mark as Project Engineer (Technical Installation) if you have:

• At least 5 years of work experience as an engineer in the field of public lighting and cables and pipelines at a contractor, consultancy or engineering firm.
• Knowledge of LED lighting and its installation.
• Specialist knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil3D/GIS.
• Specialist knowledge of Dialux EVO (lighting calculation program).
• Extensive knowledge of cable calculation software.

• Your team: The Technical Installation Cluster is part of the design department of Boskalis. In addition to this cluster there exist the following clusters: Design Management cluster, Construction cluster and Geographic Design cluster. There are approximately 70 employees in the design department, of whom 8 are in the Technical Installations cluster.
• Where you will work: You will be working from our Abu Dhabi office.
• Full-time/Part-time: The function of Project Engineer (Technical Installation) is a full-time position.
