Job summary

A growing engineering firm in the UAE is seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Mechanical to manage mechanical engineering projects and ensure compliance with standards. The ideal candidate will have 5–8 years of experience in HVAC/MEP project delivery, hands-on expertise in ducting, piping, and firefighting layouts, as well as a degree in Mechanical Engineering. This role offers a chance to work on high-impact infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion.

Job Overview

Meraki Group is seeking a motivated and experienced Project Engineer – Mechanical to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing mechanical engineering projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with standards and specifications. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and effective leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage mechanical engineering projects from conception through to completion while ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate with design teams to develop and review technical drawings, specifications, and bid documents for mechanical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NFPA, and local authority standards (DCD, DM).
  • Oversee site operations to ensure that installation and commissioning of mechanical systems comply with design specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and quality of work, addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Support procurement processes by reviewing and approving material submittals and coordinating with suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare project reports, status updates, and progress presentations for stakeholders.
