Qualifications

Job description
What You Will Do

As a Project Engineer Fire Systems you will play a vital role in supporting the technical execution of fire protection projects within the oil and gas industry. Based in Abu Dhabi you will collaborate with clients consultants and internal teams to ensure engineering deliverables meet design specifications regulatory standards and project timelines. Your focus will be on technical coordination documentation and compliance contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality fire system solutions.

How You Will Do It
  • Supporting the execution of fire system projects from design through commissioning ensuring alignment with project specifications and timelines.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical documentation including design drawings material submittals and compliance reports.
  • Assisting in the implementation of QA/QC procedures and ensuring adherence to industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Coordinating with clients to understand technical needs and translating them into actionable engineering solutions.
  • Participating in customer meetings site inspections and HSE compliance reviews to represent the engineering team.
  • Managing technical correspondence with clients consultants and subcontractors.
  • Collaborating with the project manager to track progress identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Supporting timely invoicing by providing accurate documentation and progress updates.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of Project Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans.
  • Monitoring engineering-related costs and contributing to monthly reporting for senior management.
  • Maintaining project schedules by coordinating engineering deliverables and supporting recovery plans when needed.
  • Ensuring efficient use of technical resources and materials within budget constraints.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site personnel.
  • Ensuring compliance with QHSE policies in coordination with QA/QC and HSE teams.
  • Participating in post-project reviews and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors to ensure technical compliance and proper documentation at project sites
What We Look For Required
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical Fire Mechanical) or a related discipline from a reputable university.
  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in fire protection systems preferably within the oil and gas sector.
  • Prior experience supporting or executing projects in the GCC region.
  • Strong technical communication skills with the ability to interpret client requirements and convey engineering solutions effectively.
  • Solid understanding of cost estimation principles and value engineering practices.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple engineering tasks simultaneously.
  • High proficiency in preparing and reviewing technical documentation including design drawings specifications and compliance reports.
  • Fluent in English with strong technical writing and professional email communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot engineering challenges and contribute to project success.
  • Certification in PMP or equivalent project methodologies is an advantage.
