Job description
Overview

At Engine by Starling, we are on a mission to find and work with leading banks worldwide who have the ambition to build rapid growth businesses on our technology. Engine is Starling's software-as-a-service (SaaS) business, the technology that powered Starling Bank, and was split out as a separate business two years ago. Starling Bank’s growth is driven by modern technology built from the ground up. This SaaS technology platform is now available to banks and financial institutions globally, enabling innovative digital features and efficient back-office processes. We are looking for future leaders to join our team, build client relationships, and understand client needs to solve them with Engine’s technology.

Who are Engine by Starling

Engine is the technology arm of Starling Bank, headquartered in London with offices in Dublin, Sydney, Dubai and the UK. This role will be based in Dubai but may include travel. We have a hybrid approach; ideally you are located within commutable distance of our Dubai office and spend 4–5 days per week in the office. Travel (including international) will likely be necessary depending on the client and engagement.

About the role

We are seeking a Product Consultant within the Client Solutions Division to help establish, grow, and scale our Middle Eastern business and ensure the successful implementation of the Engine Platform for our clients in the region. The role offers the opportunity to be an early hire in the region and to work across multiple phases of Engine’s client lifecycle: business development, client discovery, and client implementation.

Based in Dubai, you will contribute to growing the regional client list and work closely with Product Management and Engineering to shape Engine’s product roadmap to support these clients. You will develop strong relationships with our consulting and implementation partners and support the delivery and successful implementation of the Engine platform for clients in the Middle East.

You will be a versatile, adaptable individual who enjoys a varied and collaborative role, solving problems, helping clients launch successful, modern propositions and businesses, and supporting clients throughout their transformation journeys.

What you'll get to do
  • Contribute to the success of the global Engine business as it scales, sharing regional learnings with the central and other regional Business Development and Client Delivery functions
  • Build strong relationships internally and with client and partner organizations, from establishing initial client relationships through to implementation
Client Discovery & Delivery
  • Work with product and engineering teams through the Discovery and Delivery phases to agree on programme requirements and schedule, supporting the needs of current and future clients in the region
  • Support clients and Engine’s Client Delivery function during the implementation of the Engine platform, including supporting the transition from delivery (design, iterative build and testing) to go-live
  • Leverage your understanding of the Engine product and domain knowledge to present a clear and compelling solution to the client, supporting integration and localization
Business Development
  • Support early-stage conversations, client workshops and demos, helping identify and qualify genuine opportunities and contribute to regional marketing activities and conferences
  • Drive strategic client opportunities, including supporting commercial and contractual conversations, pitches, events, and thought leadership
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with implementation partners, driving collaborative business development activities and go-to-market strategies
