Procurement Officer – Water and Wastewater Treatment

About the Role

We’re looking for a Procurement Officer to join our team and take charge of sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing critical equipment, materials, and services for water and wastewater treatment projects. You’ll play a key role in ensuring procurement activities align with project timelines, budgets, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and evaluate suppliers for mechanical, electrical, civil, and chemical components.
  • Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents.
  • Negotiate prices, contracts, and delivery terms.
  • Manage purchase orders from initiation to delivery.
  • Maintain supplier databases (pumps, valves, membranes, instruments, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, logistics, and project teams.
  • Oversee shipping, import / export, and customs documentation.
  • Track procurement progress and supplier performance.
  • Identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or PMP are a plus.
Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement within the water & wastewater, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity with ERP or Tally software.
  • Strong knowledge of treatment systems, materials, and technical specifications.
Skills
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
