Job Summary

The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing food, beverages, kitchen equipment, and services required for catering operations, ensuring cost efficiency, quality standards, food safety compliance, and timely delivery in line with operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Source and purchase food items, beverages, kitchen equipment, and catering supplies in line with approved budgets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and reliable delivery schedules.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms to achieve cost control and savings.
  • Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery to catering sites and events.
  • Coordinate closely with Operations, Kitchen, and Stores teams to understand daily and event-based requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality, shortages, or delays.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and company procurement policies.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, invoices, and supplier documentation.
  • Support inventory control, stock levels, and wastage reduction initiatives.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify alternative suppliers and cost-effective sourcing options.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in catering, hospitality, or food services.
  • Strong knowledge of food procurement, supplier management, and cost control.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/procurement systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent operational requirements.
