About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to oversee the end-to-end purchasing and vendor management process within the real estate and construction sector. The role is responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring cost‑effective procurement operations that support project timelines and organisational goals. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in construction procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage high‑value contracts with efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Strategy & Planning
    • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project and business objectives.
    • Evaluate project requirements and prepare timely procurement plans to meet construction timelines.
    • Identify cost‑saving opportunities through efficient sourcing, negotiation, and supplier optimisation.
  • Vendor Sourcing & Management
    • Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
    • Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and timely delivery.
    • Evaluate vendor performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Purchasing & Contract Management
    • Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services for construction and development projects.
    • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contractual agreements with vendors.
    • Review and manage purchase orders, contracts, and tender documents.
    • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and legal standards.
  • Cost Control & Budgeting
    • Monitor procurement budgets and track cost performance against project targets.
    • Analyse pricing trends and market conditions to improve cost forecasting and negotiation outcomes.
    • Support finance teams with invoice verification, budget updates, and cost reporting.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance
    • Ensure procured materials and services meet required specifications and quality standards.
    • Coordinate with project and engineering teams to resolve quality or delivery issues.
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, vendor data, and price lists.
    • Prepare regular reports on procurement status, cost savings, supplier evaluations, and project needs.
    • Support internal audits and provide documentation as required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 610 years of experience in procurement, preferably within real estate or construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, vendors, and market pricing.
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and tender management.
  • Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and MS Office.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced project environment.
