We are currently recruiting for PMC Engineer (Construction- Mechanical) role to support our ADNOC Onshore project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based at onshore site in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The Role

The Senior Construction Engineer - Piping is responsible for overseeing, supervising, and managing all piping construction activities at site to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, and international codes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise mechanical construction activities at site, ensuring full compliance with ADNOC standards, project specifications, IFC drawings, and approved procedures.
  • Monitor contractor performance in mechanical works such as piping, equipment installation, static/rotating equipment, valves, and mechanical packages.
  • Review and approve method statements, ITPs, lifting plans, and RFIs submitted by contractors for mechanical scope.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with international codes (ASME, API, ISO) and ADNOC technical requirements.
  • Verify material installation and quality including alignment, leveling, grouting, bolt torquing, welding, and equipment installation tolerances.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, and PMC teams to resolve site technical issues and ensure smooth progress.
  • Monitor and control welding and NDT activities, verifying compliance with WPS/PQR and project acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and ensure contractor readiness in manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure HSE compliance during all mechanical construction works in accordance with ADNOC and project safety requirements.
  • Review and endorse test packages, mechanical completion dossiers, and documentation for system handover.
  • Witness mechanical testing including hydrotesting, pneumatic testing, leak testing, flushing, and reinstatement activities.
  • Verify installation of static and rotating equipment, ensuring proper alignment, leveling, and vendor‑approved procedures.
  • Monitor progress against schedules, highlight delays, and support mitigation measures.
  • Manage punch list activities, participate in system walkdowns, and ensure timely closure for MC, RFC, and Handover.
  • Facilitate coordination between contractor, PMC, and ADNOC representatives, ensuring timely approvals and addressing site challenges.
  • Participate in daily/weekly progress meetings, reporting construction progress, risks, and site issues.
  • Review as‑built drawings, material traceability, and ensure completeness of MDR (Manufacturer Data Record).
  • Ensure all mechanical systems and subsystems are completed per ADNOC specifications and ready for pre‑commissioning and commissioning.

Expected
  • A bachelor's degree in relevant engineering (i.e Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Environmental, Chemical, IT, Computer, Software, Electronic, etc.) or equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum of ten (10+) years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry including minimum five (5) years (preferred) in GCC region.
  • Professional certifications (CSWIP, PMP, or equivalent) are an advantage.
  • At least 5 years in PMC role on ADNOC Onshore or similar Middle East projects.
  • Strong background in:
    • Piping & pipeline construction
    • Static & rotating equipment installation
    • Mechanical packages (pumps, compressors, vessels)
    • Welding & NDT supervision
    • Mechanical testing & pre‑commissioning
  • Strong knowledge of ADNOC Onshore standards, specifications, and procedures.
  • Prior experience in ADNOC Onshore / ADNOC Offshore projects is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of ADNOC specifications, standards, workflows, and documentation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple contractors and site priorities.
  • Proficient in construction planning and progress monitoring.
