Job summary

A leading luxury hotel in Dubai is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to assist in maintaining high food and pastry standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate creativity in baking and decorating while leading staff in pastry preparation. Qualifications

Job Summary

Pastry Chef (ID 16479) – Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai.

Overview

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef – Pastry in maintaining and improving food and pastry standards.
  • Demonstrate creative baking and decorating skills, personally performing tasks while leading staff in pastry preparation.
  • Develop daily specials and offer a variety of menu items with local specialties.
  • Plan pastry inventory according to forecasted business levels.
  • Collaborate with food and beverage management to improve guest and colleague satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.
  • Ensure sanitation, equipment maintenance, proper food rotation and merchandise usage to meet food safety standards.
  • Coordinate with Marketing & Public Relations to support and maximize revenue and social media exposure.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as Sous Chef, Pastry or as a Pastry Chef in an international luxury hotel or restaurant.
  • Culinary certificate and accredited education requirement.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP and general health & safety in the workplace.
  • Strong leadership, creativity, passion and ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
