Key Responsibilities
  • Draft petitions, pleadings, submissions, wills, and other legal documents in English (and Arabic where required but not mandatory).
  • Assist in preparing and filing applications before the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) and other UAE courts.
  • Handle procedural steps in family law cases, including divorce, custody, guardianship, maintenance, and inheritance matters.
  • Prepare wills for UAE nationals and expatriates, liaising with notaries and relevant court departments.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case notes, client updates, and supporting bundles.
  • Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials in a professional and timely manner.
  • Arrange for legal translations when required.
  • Maintain and organise case files, ensuring compliance with protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Provide support to UK-based lawyers on UAE-related family and estate matters.

The role involves supporting lawyers on both contentious and non-contentious matters, particularly in relation to divorce, custody, guardianship, succession, and will registration. The successful candidate will work closely with both UAE and UK-based lawyers, ensuring smooth case management and client support.
