Job summary

Primary Duties
  • Assess and diagnose disorders of eye movement and coordination (e.g., strabismus, amblyopia).

  • Perform orthoptic and visual function tests.

  • Develop and implement non-surgical treatment plans (e.g., vision therapy, exercises, patching).

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed.

Secondary Process
  • Work closely with Ophthalmologists in clinical settings.

  • Educate patients and families about eye conditions and treatment plans.

  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

  • Support pediatric and adult patients with various vision problems.

Skills Required
  • Degree in Orthoptics or relevant healthcare field.

  • Certification or license as required by local regulations.

  • Experience in clinical orthoptic practice is preferred.

  • Strong observational and diagnostic skills.

  • Excellent communication and patient-care abilities.
