Job description

The Aesen Project Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Superintendent to join its operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and supporting day-to-day operational activities to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution across the fleet and associated operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Operations, Technical, and HSQE policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Assistant Superintendents, ensuring effective task allocation and performance monitoring.
  • Monitor Classification Society survey status and plan, coordinate, and attend annual, intermediate, and renewal class surveys as required.
  • Liaise and coordinate with Marine Agents, Marine Warranty Surveyors (MWS), Classification Society Surveyors, and Client Representatives to ensure smooth operational execution.
  • Independently plan, manage, and execute the mobilization and demobilization of a minimum of three (3) transportation spreads.
  • Conduct general marine surveys and prepare detailed “As Built” drawings and documentation.
  • Independently carry out vessel suitability, on-hire, off-hire, and bunker surveys, with strong working knowledge of Marine Warranty Survey requirements.
  • Manage and close out all Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) punch list items in a timely and effective manner.
  • Supervise vessel outfitting activities to ensure readiness for operations.
  • Oversee and supervise complete load-out operations, including cargo stowage and lashing, for Cargo Vessels, PSVs, and/or Barges.
  • Coordinate vessel readiness activities including ship handling arrangements, crewing, bunkering, and provisioning.
  • To coordinate with HSQE Manager in the implementation and compliance all QHSE throughout all operational activities.
  • Develop Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for operations and conduct Toolbox Talks and Pre-Start Inspections.
  • Prepare, maintain, and submit Statements of Facts (SOF) documenting load-out and operational progress.
  • Prepare and submit accurate Daily Progress Reports (DPR) during repair, reinstatement and drydocking
  • Develop and maintain fuel consumption, sailing schedule, and cargo schedule spreadsheets to support operational planning and reporting.
  • To code and approve invoices in SAP whenever required
  • Perform any additional duties requiring professional marine and operational expertise as assigned.
  • Review, recommend, and continuously improve operational procedures, processes, and documentation to enhance efficiency and safety.

Diploma or Bachelor’s Marine Transportation or Engineering or a recognized Marine-related discipline.

Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant working experience in operations and/or project-based roles within the maritime or offshore industry.

Strong understanding, knowledge, and hands‑on experience in offshore marine operations.

Sound knowledge of common Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) requirements and practices.

Prior sea‑going experience is preferred.

Holder of a valid UAE driving license.

Comprehensive understanding of applicable industry rules, regulations, conventions, and statutory requirements relevant to the area of operations and vessel types.

Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interface with internal teams and external stakeholders.
