Job Description Operations Specialist

Location: Dubai UAE or Bahrain Bay Bahrain Start Date: Within 23 weeks preferred

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Operations Specialist to join a leading global logistics group working as an embedded resource with one of their key government/defence clients. This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of complex logistics operations supporting high-profile international projects and ensuring seamless execution of critical port and supply chain services.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills and be motivated to deliver operational excellence. This role demands flexibility resilience and the ability to anticipate and resolve challenges in real time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan coordinate and execute port visit and logistics operations from initiation through completion.
  • Ensure cost-effective and compliant service delivery in line with contractual requirements.
  • Act as a proactive liaison with local agents ports suppliers and on-site stakeholders.
  • Identify commercial opportunities and areas for process improvement during operations.
  • Maintain and verify operational and contractual documentation with accuracy.
  • Support pricing and cost validation processes including RFQs and disbursement accounts.
  • Monitor operations on-site when required providing solutions and upholding service standards.
  • Assist in ensuring vendors and agents comply with HSSE guidelines and company policies.
  • Prepare and hand over detailed operational reports including during weekend duty rotations.
  • Uphold the highest standards of product safety authenticity legality and quality.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: AED 16000 20000 per month (or equivalent in BHD).
  • Annual flights provided.
  • Premium AXA healthcare including private room coverage dental (20% sub >1500 annual cover) and global travel insurance.
  • Business expenses reimbursed (fuel SALIK tolls parking).
  • Travel allowance: AED 350 per night for work-related overnight stays away from base location.
