Job description
POSITION PURPOSE:

The cybersecurity manager at Sephora, a retail and online company, plays a crucial role in protecting the organization’s tech and digital assets, including customer and employee data. The cybersecurity manager must be familiar with the 5 Cs of cybersecurity: Change, Continuity, Cost, Compliance, and Coverage, and know how to implement them effectively in an ever-evolving digital environment where securing assets against threats is paramount.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The main missions of the cybersecurity manager are:

  • Coordinate with Sephora and LVMH EME and global security teams to enhance information security culture, ensure security is considered by design in all projects, and manage security checks and remediation (Pentest, internal/external audits).
  • Maintain close relationships with the Governance & Security Expert within Sephora EME and global teams, and collaborate with key local and regional contacts from Business and IT to enforce Sephora EME Security Strategy.
  • Assist in integrating business units' local enforcement of Sephora Security Policy and advise on deploying security initiatives, follow-up on actions, and oversee progress to meet goals.
  • Create local security governance for key partners to assess risks, build, and follow remediation plans.
  • Manage and coordinate all cybersecurity work/tasks across the region: KSA, UAE, QA, KW, BH, and OM.

RELATIONAL

  • Maintain good interpersonal relationships, be rigorous and service-oriented.
  • Manage relationships with EME and global cybersecurity teams, external vendors, and internal teams such as User Experience, Network, Systems, and IT operations.

ORGANIZATIONAL

  • Follow all relevant IT policies, processes, and SOPs to ensure controlled and consistent work aligned with LVMH and Sephora rules and policies.
  • Set up dashboards, metrics, and measure the QoS of services delivered.

OPERATIONAL

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities, including those related to online transactions and customer data.
  • Establish monitoring and adapt the web/digital cybersecurity posture, including vulnerability and fraud management, and enforce security on AKAMAI modules such as WAF, SDKApp, Anti DDoS, CDN, Account Protector, and Pages Integrity.
  • Enforce cybersecurity policies and best practices, ensure compliance, and assist in incident response planning and management.
  • Promote cybersecurity awareness and training initiatives across the organization.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into systems and software development processes.
  • Evaluate and manage third-party vendors for security compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws like GDPR and CCPA.
  • Oversee deployment of security technologies to protect assets and collaborate with internal control and legal teams on relevant topics.
  • Ensure retail and online projects are secure, fostering customer trust and organizational safety.

  • Proven experience as a cybersecurity professional in an international, multicultural environment.
  • Strong cybersecurity mindset, advanced knowledge of security technologies, standards, and risk management.
  • Understanding of retail and distribution processes and IT ecosystems.
  • Ability to understand big picture and operational details, drive initiatives, and support project implementation.
  • Self-starter with analytical, evaluative, and business-oriented skills.
  • Reliable IT business partner with strong IT knowledge, hands-on operational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience managing multiple vendors and projects, working in team environments, and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Over 10 years of experience, including at least 3 years in an omni-retail company.
  • Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent; certifications like CISSP, ISO 27001, ISO 27005, CRISC, or CISM are a plus. Fluency in Arabic and French is a plus.
