Job summary

An energy sector leader in the UAE is looking for a Process Engineer to design, optimize, and troubleshoot chemical processes in oil and gas extraction and refining. The role encompasses responsibilities like developing process simulations, ensuring compliance with standards, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, 5–10 years of experience, and proficiency with process simulation software. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field is required.
  • Professional registration (ECSA, PE, CEng, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of process engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop process simulations and equipment sizing calculations.
  • Prepare and review process flow diagrams and datasheets.
  • Perform detailed design of oil and gas process systems.
  • Provide technical input during various project phases.
  • Support process safety analysis like HAZOP and HAZID.

Skills

Process simulation software proficiency (Aspen HYSYS, UniSim, Petro-SIM, ProMax, FlareSIM)
Knowledge of thermodynamics
Knowledge of fluid dynamics
Problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)
