Position Summary

We’re looking for a Network Security Consultant to assess, design, and implement enterprise‑grade security controls across hybrid environments. You will safeguard critical services by translating risk into practical architectures and operations.

Detailed Job Description

You will lead engagements covering security assessments, target‑state architectures, and implementation of NGFW, VPN, IDS/IPS, segmentation, and secure remote access. Expect collaboration with infrastructure and application teams to embed zero‑trust, identity‑aware policy, and least privilege. You’ll create governance artifacts (standards, patterns, playbooks), conduct red/blue team exercises with SOC stakeholders, and support incident response and RCA. The role demands strong client‑facing communication and the ability to balance security with business agility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct security assessments and define target‑state network security architectures
  • Deploy and harden NGFW, IDS/IPS, remote access/SD‑WAN security, and microsegmentation
  • Integrate security with identity, logging/SIEM, and cloud controls
  • Develop policies, playbooks, and security patterns; lead tabletop exercises
  • Perform risk analysis, advise on compliance best practices, and guide remediation
  • Provide incident response support, post‑mortems, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years in network/security engineering or consulting
  • Hands‑on with NGFW (e.g., Palo Alto/Cisco/Fortinet), SSL/IPSec VPN, and IDS/IPS
  • Strong knowledge of segmentation/zero‑trust, PKI, and NAC/802.1X
  • Familiar with SIEM/SOAR workflows and security monitoring fundamentals
  • Excellent client communication, documentation, and stakeholder management
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
  • Certifications: CISSP, CCSP, PCNSE, NSE, or equivalent
  • Experience with SASE/ZTNA and cloud security controls (AWS/Azure)
  • Exposure to compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST)
  • Automation for policy validation and configuration (Python/Ansible)
  • DDoS protection, WAF, and DNS security experience
Recruitment Pro Tip

Attach a 3–5 slide “security outcomes” portfolio—before/after risk posture, tooling you implemented, and metrics (e.g., MTTD/MTTR reduction). Outcome‑driven storytelling wins interviews.
