Job description

Job Purpose:

The Museum Educator Training Manager will be responsible for composing content, scheduling and delivering training to the Museum Educator team and to staff who will interact with our visitors and deliver interpretive programs for diverse audiences in coordination with the Interpretive Experience Unit. Our training program will begin with induction, but we aim to have regular bite‑size sessions and on‑going training to keep staff engaged, continuously developing, up to date and positive.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the training schedule for the Museum Educators team, which will need to work around operational requirements.
  • Devise training subjects, content and session structures; monitor staff training records to ensure that mandatory training and certification is up to date.
  • Report on training outcomes and budget.
  • Organise the necessary resources for training sessions, including room booking.
  • Manage guest speakers/trainers.
  • Request and coordinate training sessions from other ZNM/DCT departments.
  • Work with the Interpretation Section Head to develop the ongoing training strategy.
  • Cover other Museum Educator positions when required.
  • Any other duties in line with the role's function as requested by the Interpretation Section Head.
Required Experience
  • Experience of working in a cultural environment in a supervisory or management position.
  • Minimum 5 years experience of composing and delivering training to large groups in a cultural, hospitality or customer‑facing environment.
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to pick up new software quickly.
  • Fluent Arabic and English written and spoken.
Required Education / Qualifications

Bachelor's degree‑level in a relevant subject, e.g., tourism, art, history, museum studies, arts administration, hospitality, training, education.
