Job description

Hire Resolve is assisting mining organisations in hiring experienced mining professionals across the UAE.

This is a multi-role opportunity covering several functions within the sector, including mine and plant operations, technical services, mineral processing, maintenance and reliability, projects, and HSE/OSH leadership.

These positions suit mid‑to senior‑level professionals and support progression toward superintendent, manager, and site/regional leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead or support safe, efficient delivery of mining and processing operations across site functions
  • Build and maintain compliance with UAE labour and workplace requirements, including robust occupational safety and health practices and incident prevention programmes
  • Drive operational performance through production planning, KPI management, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical input to mine planning, production optimisation, drill‑and‑blast performance, and geotechnical/ground control controls (as applicable)
  • Optimise processing performance (throughput, recovery, quality) through troubleshooting and process improvement where relevant
  • Oversee maintenance and reliability strategies for mobile and fixed plant, including shutdown planning and asset performance improvement
  • Manage contractors and service providers to ensure safe execution, quality delivery, and adherence to schedule and budget
  • Support project execution and operational readiness activities, including commissioning support and change management
  • Develop teams through coaching, competency development, and structured performance management
  • Prepare clear operational reports for leadership, audits, and governance requirements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Metallurgy/Mineral Processing, HSE, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience for certain operations/maintenance leadership roles)
  • Typically 5–12+ years of progressive experience in mining, quarrying/aggregates, minerals processing, or heavy industrial environments
  • Working knowledge of UAE occupational safety and health expectations and a practical approach to risk management, safe systems of work, and incident investigation (MOHRE guidance applies to workplaces)
  • Experience in one or more of the following: operations leadership, technical services, planning/scheduling, processing optimisation, maintenance/reliability, projects, or HSE management systems
  • Familiarity with common tools and systems such as CMMS/EAM (e.g., SAP, Maximo), planning/scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office (Excel; Power BI advantageous)
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in multicultural site environments
  • English proficiency required; Arabic is advantageous depending on role scope and stakeholder needs
  • Willingness to work on‑site and travel as required (site‑based or remote assignments may apply)
