Our Middle East Assurance practice includes over 2,500 people based in 12 countries across the region and is part of PwC’s global network that operates worldwide. PwC Middle East’s Assurance practice combines the right mix of human‑led and tech‑powered solutions to provide our clients with quality audits and other risk services that create confidence and impact in our region and across society.
What is expected from you
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Risk Management Senior Associate. This role will support Regional Risk Management initiatives with a focus on monitoring, auditing and reporting activities across global platforms. You will report to the Risk & Quality Manager and will play a key role in ensuring business readiness for new risk‑related projects. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team, drive meaningful impact and grow professionally.
- Being the first point of contact and assisting proactively in the handling of risk management and compliance related queries.
- Keeping up to date with local, national, business and economic issues and contributing to the thinking of the risk implications and implementation of risk mitigation measures as needed.
- Conducting risk‑management monitoring related activities to ensure compliance with firm policies and risk protocols.
- Identifying and escalating anomalies or potential risk exposures in a timely manner in the assigned projects.
- Assisting in engagement team readiness activities for new risk management initiatives and projects.
- Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of risk‑related programs.
- Analyzing large data sets to extract insights to support decision making.
- Maintenance and updating of relevant R&Q tools, templates, checklists, databases etc. that provide guidance and support to engagement teams.
- Preparing and delivering periodic reports and dashboards leveraging internal platforms and environments.
- Developing a strong understanding of internal systems and tools used for risk management documentation.
- Providing support to arrange and prepare related documents for the purpose of risk management training.
- Having a pleasing, positive and approachable attitude while engaging with internal stakeholders.
- Working effectively under pressure and managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Encouraging involvement in digital initiatives and the use of transformation technologies in order to ensure compliance with our firm’s vision and enhance process efficiency.
What will you bring

- A degree in accounting, finance or another related academic major.
- About 4-6 years of professional experience.
- Completing a recognized professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, ACA, CPA (or plus).
- Experience working with cross industries/clients is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in a team and multicultural environment including remote working abilities.
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English (oral and written) is a plus.
- Strong project management skills.
- Confidence in challenging yourself and others to advise on technical audit and risk management related consultations.
- Ability to establish and nurture positive relationships across all levels.
- Driving innovative thinking and supporting others through change and uncertainty to overcome hurdles.
- Experience encouraging a team environment that promotes collaboration and constructive challenge and has demonstrated the ability to act quickly to resolve team issues and questions.
- Taking pride in your work and in the Audit profession showing resilience and demonstrating dedication to self‑development including being agile and innovative in the digital world.
- Promoting and encouraging others to value differences when working in diverse teams.
- Knowledge in any Audit technologies and experience using Data Analytics tools is a plus.
