As we continue to design, build, and operate innovative satellites, we are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Mechanical Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll take part in all phases of satellite assembly - from precisely building subsystems and validating ground support equipment, to performing inspections, troubleshooting, and ensuring everything meets the highest quality standards.
You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and technicians, contribute to process improvements, and play a critical role in keeping our assembly work efficient, accurate, and reliable. About This Role:
  • Perform all phases of satellite assembly, including Precisely assemble satellite subsystems (e.g., structures, mechanisms, thermal control) using various hand tools and specialized equipment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and quality checks at each stage of the assembly process.
  • Adhere strictly to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality control standards.
  • Document all assembly activities and deviations accurately.
  • Execution of mechanical assembly activities on Flight Hardware including harness mating and support Test setup
  • Assemble and validate mechanical ground support equipment (GSE) to ensure proper functioning and compatibility with satellite hardware.
  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to the optimization of assembly procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor assembly issues effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members to ensure successful project completion.
Must Haves:
  • 3-7 years in precision mechanical assembly, preferably in the aerospace or a related high-tech industry
  • Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized assembly equipment
  • Ability to read test complex engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Technical diploma or associate's degree
