Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor Mechanical works for contract compliance.

Skills

Stantec is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring the Mechanical works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
• Reviewing, approving and processing Mechanical technical submittals.
• Prepare preliminary answers for RFI's related to Mechanical works.
• Coordinating and supervising the pre-installation work of selected Mechanical activities and operations.
• Reviewing contractor's Mechanical change order proposals and preparing technical recommendations to Senior Mechanical Engineer.
• Liaison with the necessary sub-consultants.
• Assist with review off contractors claims related to Mechanical works and preparing technical recommendations for claims.
• Reviewing the contractor's project record documents relevant to their discipline.
• Assisting with the inspection or inspecting of completed works and monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of the Mechanical works.

Qualifications

The Mechanical Engineer must have relevant engineering degree from recognized university and must have thoughtful knowledge and work experience of not less than 15 years in design, construction and supervision of rising mains, pumping station.

The candidate must also have full and complete knowledge of existing infrastructure Networks in the Emirates of Dubai. They must also have thoughtful knowledge and work experience pipelines, VC, WO, AV, connection Chambers and Pumping Station works. He must have also through knowledge and experience in the design of infrastructure works.

The applicant must have also work experience in dealing with emergency works and must be able to deal with Public and coordinate with various Dubai Municipality and other infrastructure Authorities Projects.

Must Have Also Work Experience in Dealing Step by Step for DEWA Power Connection Requirements - Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Primavera P6.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and capacity to make decision.
