A leading engineering firm in the United Arab Emirates is looking for a Mechanical Engineer specialized in airport systems. The role involves designing and supervising HVAC and plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with aviation standards, and coordinating project execution. A Mechanical Engineer with airport experience is responsible for designing, reviewing, and supervising mechanical systems in airport facilities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with international aviation standards.
Design & Specification: Develop and review designs for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and fuel systems in terminals, hangars, and support buildings.
Airport Systems Integration: Coordinate with specialists for integration of Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB), and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
Project Execution Support: Provide technical input during procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure systems comply with international (e.g., ICAO, NFPA, ASHRAE) and local airport engineering standards.
Coordination & Review: Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and airport authorities for system compatibility and functionality.
Site Supervision & Testing: Oversee site works, testing & commissioning of mechanical systems, and review contractor submissions and shop drawings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
