Job description

Trainee in TC 2

The Mechanic – Motor Vehicle is responsible for carrying out inspection, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of light and heavy motor vehicles to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and minimal downtime. The role supports project and fleet operations by maintaining vehicles and equipment in good working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of motor vehicles including cars, pick‑ups, SUVs, buses, and light/heavy commercial vehicles.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Repair and replace defective parts related to engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension, and exhaust systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance as per manufacturer and company schedules.
  • Attend on‑site vehicle breakdowns and provide emergency repair support when required.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, job cards, and spare parts usage logs.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and fleet teams regarding vehicle condition and repair timelines.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the workshop and adhere to 5S and safety housekeeping practices.
