Job Purpose

Join our Group Security team, where you will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of security across the Emirates Group. Our diverse security units include Security Training, Group Security Command Center, Airport Security Unit, Crime Prevention & Investigation Unit, Threat & Risk Assessment Unit, Aviation Security Compliance, Assurance & Regulation, and Business Support Unit—all working together to develop and implement comprehensive security strategies.

About the Role

As a Manager Command Centre & Security Affairs - Emiratisation in the Group Security team, you will provide operational leadership for Emirates Group Security by overseeing aviation security affairs, workforce governance, and command centre operations. You will coordinate with stakeholders, liaise with authorities, and oversee continuous improvement of operational procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee workforce governance and compliance efforts by managing employee review processes in accordance with Emirates Group Security protocols and global regulatory standards. Contribute to audit readiness and develop adaptive systems that meet evolving aviation security requirements, including TSA, CBP, ICAO, IATA, and GDPR.
  • Set the operational direction for the Security Command Centre by defining its vision, operating model, and escalation protocols. Establish resilience measures through contingency planning and crisis management frameworks to ensure continuity of operations across the global network.
  • Build relationships with local and global law enforcement and intelligence agencies to direct systemic investigations and responses to critical threats such as threats, persons of interest and illegal immigration.
  • Oversee aviation security operations across the Emirates network, and review threat assessments, incident response, crisis management crew and asset protection, VVIP security, and investigations into high‑risk events.
  • Manage the provision of aviation security operations by third party providers, including contracts, consultancy, and screening to ensure, service excellence, and compliance with IATA SGHA standards. Align internal operational goals and build strategic partnerships with regulatory and international authorities to support collaboration, information exchange, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead continuous improvement in security operations by embedding industry best practices, proactively monitoring emerging risks, and leveraging security data and intelligence. Represent Emirates Group Security in international forums and regulatory discussions to ensure alignment and influence on global standards.
  • Lead and develop the team through a positive work environment, clear goal setting, and performance management.
Qualifications
  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in a relevant field.
  • Possess an ICAO AVSEC Professional Manager certification (or equivalent).
  • Have 10+ years of experience in Security, ideally including exposure to command centre environment.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of ICAO, IATA, GCAA, TSA, and GDPR standards, along with a solid understanding of aviation security frameworks such as ICAO Annex 17, Doc 8973, and Doc 9811.
  • Be skilled in threat assessment and crisis decision‑making, with strong interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with regulators, law enforcement agencies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Possess familiarity with security systems, document fraud detection, and digital compliance tools.
