Role Summary
The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for end-to-end coordination of logistics operations across air, sea, and road transportation, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods. The role requires strong coordination with freight forwarders, customs authorities, internal stakeholders, and vendors to support operational requirements of the Client.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor logistics operations for air freight, sea freight, and road transportation.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation including AWB, BL, packing lists, invoices, COO, and customs-related documents.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, and customs clearance agents to ensure smooth cargo movement.
- Track shipments, manage delivery schedules, and proactively resolve delays or operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs procedures, and local laws.
- Coordinate with internal teams (procurement, warehouse, operations) to align logistics activities with business needs.
- Maintain accurate logistics records, shipment trackers, and status reports.
- Support cost control initiatives by monitoring logistics expenses and optimizing transport routes where possible.
- Handle urgent and sensitive shipments with high accuracy and accountability.
Required Experience & Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics coordination with hands‑on exposure to air, sea, and road freight.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping, customs clearance, and logistics documentation.
- Experience working with freight forwarders and transport vendors.
- Familiarity with UAE/GCC logistics and customs processes is highly preferred.
- Strong coordination, communication, and follow‑up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously under tight timelines.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic logistics tracking systems.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Additional Requirements (Preferred)
- Experience supporting large organizations or government / defense‑related clients is an advantage.
- Immediate or short‑notice availability preferred.
