Librarian (Malayalee) - Full Time


We are currently hiring a full-time Librarian for our library in Musaffah, UAE. The ideal candidate for this position will be a Malayalee with a passion for books and knowledge.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the library's collection of books, magazines, and other materials
- Organize and catalogue new materials
- Assist library patrons with finding and checking out materials
- Provide reference services to patrons, including helping with research and answering questions
- Plan and conduct library programs and events, such as book clubs or author talks
- Keep track of library inventory and order new materials as needed
- Maintain the library's online catalog system
- Ensure that the library is clean, organized, and welcoming to all patrons

Requirements:
- Must be a male Malayalee fluent in English (Arabic language skills are a plus)
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with patrons of all ages
- Knowledge of online catalog systems and other relevant technology
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Working Hours:
This is a full-time position with standard working hours from Sunday to Thursday. However, occasional evening or weekend work may be required for special events or programs.

Salary:
Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
