Job Description

Job Summary:

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing a constant supply of clean linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items for hotel guests or facility use. They operate and maintain laundry machines, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute items, ensuring hygiene and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort all laundry items by color, fabric, cleaning requirements.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Use the correct amount of detergent, bleach, and other cleaning chemicals.
• Inspect items before and after cleaning for damage or stains.
• Fold, stack, hang, or package clean laundry appropriately.
• Press all cloths and should prepare guest laundry.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry area.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
• Track and record laundry loads, usage, and inventory as required.
• Follow company hygiene and safety standards at all times.
• Occasionally assist with pressing, ironing, or mending laundry items.
