Qualifications

Job description
Kitchen Technician
  • Install, maintain and repair kitchen equipment such as ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers and ventilation systems.

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure all kitchen appliances are working efficiently and safely.

  • Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, electrical or plumbing issues related to kitchen equipment.

  • Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance to prolong the lifespan of kitchen machinery.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all kitchen equipment operations.

  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to schedule maintenance without disrupting service.

  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules and equipment performance.

  • Order and manage spare parts inventory for kitchen equipment repairs.

  • Provide training or guidance to kitchen staff on the proper use and care of equipment.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Completion of a technical diploma or certificate in kitchen equipment maintenance, refrigeration, or a related field.

  • Practical experience in maintaining and repairing commercial kitchen appliances.

  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems related to kitchen equipment.
