About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sous Chef to join Jumeirah Al Naseem. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assist in supervising kitchen staff and ensure adherence to standards and procedures
  • Participate in daily meetings with senior chefs to discuss menus and operational plans
  • Support menu and recipe planning, including testing samples and maintaining accurate specifications
  • Monitor and maintain cooking standards, correcting methods when necessary to ensure quality
  • Plan and review staff rosters, manage overtime, holidays, and absenteeism in coordination with senior chefs
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and hygiene by liaising with the Chief Steward and enforcing standards
About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a five-star international chain in Europe and Asia in a position of Chef De Partie
  • Completed kitchen apprentice or chef's training for at least one year
  • Sound knowledge about all kinds of cooking techniques and methods
  • Proficiency in English
