Job description

At Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah, a Junior Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to manage all aspects of the kitchen, ensuring an excellent Guest and Member experience. The role involves managing food provisions, assisting with guest queries, and controlling costs. Specifically, responsibilities include:

  • Managing operational, quality, and administrative functions of the kitchen
  • Overseeing food provision to outlets and ensuring compliance with legislation
  • Handling guest queries efficiently to ensure positive outcomes
  • Maintaining quality and proper storage of foodstuffs
  • Contributing to menu creation based on guest feedback
  • Ensuring consistent high-quality food production across all outlets
  • Managing customer relations in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Managing resources effectively through work rotations
  • Supporting brand standards via team training and assessment
  • Leading the kitchen team to stay organized and motivated
  • Controlling costs to meet financial targets without compromising standards
  • Supporting other departments and maintaining good working relationships
  • Complying with security, fire, health, safety, and food safety regulations
  • Reporting maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues
  • Demonstrating environmental awareness
