Job summary

A leading digital assets firm is looking for a Junior Proprietary Trader to join their newly established Abu Dhabi office. This role combines discretionary trading and quantitative analysis, allowing the successful candidate to shape the regional trading presence. Responsibilities include supporting senior traders, developing trading strategies, and conducting quantitative research. Who You Are:

We are seeking a Junior Proprietary Trader to join our newly established Abu Dhabi office. This is a foundational hire and an opportunity to help shape our regional trading presence. The role sits at the intersection of discretionary trading and quantitative analysis ideal for someone who combines strong market intuition with technical depth in data analysis modeling and systematic strategy development.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior traders to run and manage risk across crypto assets and global index products using both spot and non-linear derivative products as well as assist in developing new strategies and contribute to the ongoing buildout of our trading and pricing infrastructure.

3>What You’ll Do:
  • Support senior traders in managing proprietary books across equity index and volatility products (options futures and structured derivatives)
  • Develop and enhance trading strategies with a focus on volatility and relative value opportunities
  • Build maintain and improve pricing risk management and trade analytics tools in Python and SQL
  • Perform quantitative research to identify new sources of alpha and improve execution and hedging efficiency
  • Assist in risk and scenario analysis to support portfolio management decisions
  • Contribute to daily market color trade idea generation and cross-asset collaboration within the global macro and volatility teams
  • Help shape infrastructure and data processes for the Abu Dhabi office as a first local analytical and trading hire
What We’re Looking For:
  • At least 1 years trading or market making experience at a financial institution
  • Basic knowledge of derivatives
  • General understanding of financial plumbing across different asset classes
  • Strong data science skills a plus (python database work concurrent processes parallel computation etc.)
  • Experience implementing large language models into internal tools and processes a plus
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics Physics Computer Science Engineering or Finance
  • Demonstrated experience building or working with trading infrastructure risk systems or pricing models
  • Proactive and curious mindset with strong attention to detail and intellectual rigor
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills; ability to operate in a lean entrepreneurial environment
