Job summary

A leading commodity trading company in Dubai is seeking a Junior Contract Administrator to assist in managing contractual obligations and logistics for physical metal trades. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in operations within the base metals industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include invoicing, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring accuracy in operations. A Bachelor's degree and fluency in English are required.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Junior Contract Administrator will support the physical movement custody and contractual obligations concerning the metal traded including the commodity supply chain to execute tasks with customers logistics companies and warehouses to ensure the timely and cost‑efficient execution of physical metals trades.

Responsibilities
  • Booking invoices for deliveries into our in‑house system to record the purchase or sales.
  • Checking freight/storage/inspection invoices received from different 3rd party companies and preparing them for payment based on traffic inputs.
  • Booking of and following up on deliveries with different freight forwarders.
  • Develop and maintain high quality customer service relationships with various counterparties including producers, consumers and service providers in a manner that creates operational synergies across the supply chain.
  • Proactively monitor contractual documentation such as purchase/sales orders, invoices, shipping and title documents to ensure contractual obligations are met and realized in an accurate, timely and cost‑efficient manner.
  • Various other admin tasks on a regular or ad‑hoc basis as needed by the operations team.
Qualification & Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in operations within the base metals industry.
  • A solid educational background; bachelor’s degree required or professional degree.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written); an additional European language is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Efficient and well‑organized working skills; very good accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work and communicate with people from various multi‑cultural backgrounds.
  • Must be flexible to work additional hours as required.
  • Excels in collaborative environments while maintaining a versatile, autonomous and flexible approach to work.
  • Ready to adapt to international practices.
  • Interest in commodity trading.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
