Job summary

A financial consulting firm based in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Junior Accountant to support the finance team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join a growing finance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in general accounting, month-end closing, and exposure to sales and receivables processes. This role requires accuracy, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Handle sales and receivables accounting, including invoicing, payment tracking, and customer account reconciliation.
  • Prepare and update accounting schedules, reports, and financial summaries as required.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate posting of transactions.
  • Assist with audit preparation and provide necessary documentation to internal/external auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and relevant financial regulations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting roles, including general accounting and month-end closing procedures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or any related field.
  • Experience with sales and receivables accounting is preferred.
  • A Finance or Accountancy license is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting tools.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
