Job description
Firm Overview

Axight is a specialized Asia Pacific‑focused private equity investment manager, headquartered in Abu Dhabi and built to deploy capital at scale across the region’s fastest‑growing markets. The firm combines deep regional expertise with global institutional backing to pursue high‑conviction investment opportunities across sectors, stages, and asset classes.

Axight was established by Lunate, a major global investment management platform with over $115 billion in assets under management, reinforcing the firm’s strong capital base and global deal‑sourcing network. Axight itself manages over US$5 billion and continues to expand its portfolio as part of Abu Dhabi’s broader strategy to grow its influence across international private markets.

Role Overview

As an Associate‑level Investment Professional, you will play a pivotal role within Axight’s investment team, contributing directly to the firm’s ability to source, evaluate, and execute high‑quality opportunities across the Asia Pacific region. You will support all stages of the investment lifecycle – from early‑stage analysis through to ongoing portfolio value creation.

In this capacity, you will be responsible for driving analytical workstreams, coordinating due‑diligence processes, preparing investment committee materials, and engaging with both internal leadership and external counterparties. Beyond deal execution, you will also support active portfolio management, helping monitor performance, identify growth levers, and collaborate with management teams to implement operational improvements.

This role offers significant exposure to senior decision‑makers, cross‑border transactions, and a diverse set of industries, making it a strong platform for long‑term development within private equity.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Investment Opportunities Across APAC: Conduct initial screenings, financial assessments, and qualitative reviews of opportunities across diverse geographies and sectors in the Asia‑Pacific region. This includes building preliminary investment cases and summarizing insights for senior team members.
  • Lead Components of Due Diligence: Support comprehensive due diligence workstreams—including commercial, financial, legal, operational, and ESG—by coordinating third‑party consultants, gathering internal analyses, and synthesizing findings into structured outputs used for investment decision‑making.
  • Deal Structuring & Negotiation Support: Collaborate with the Principal and firm leadership to prepare deal terms, transaction models, negotiation materials, and scenario analyses. Assist in liaising with advisors, legal counsel, and counterparties to ensure smooth progress from term sheet to closing.
  • Track Market Dynamics: Stay up to date on macroeconomic trends, industry developments, competitive movements, and regulatory changes across APAC markets. Summarize relevant developments for internal team consumption and contribute to the firm’s thematic research pipeline.
  • Data‑Driven Investment Insights: Use financial modeling, benchmarking, market sizing, and other analytical tools to derive insights that refine investment theses, assess market attractiveness, and support recommendation materials for committees.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills
  • Strong due diligence competencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
