Job summary

A leading legal firm in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced paralegal to assist with various legal duties including research, document drafting, and maintaining legal files. Candidates should have at least three years of experience in an international law firm and a Bachelor's degree in Law. Strong knowledge of legal principles and exceptional research skills are essential. This is a full-time role based on-site.

Overview

Role: You will be assisting on a range of duties including:

Responsibilities

• Legal and record research


• Identifying relevant judicial decisions, statutes, legal articles, codes and other pertinent material


• Organise and analyse information


• Cross-check and validate information


• Prepare written reports


• Draft legal documents including briefs, contracts and legal agreements


• Assist in preparing legal arguments, applications, declarations and correspondence


• Proof reading


• Maintain reference files


• Organise and track legal files


• Review and monitor new and updated regulations


• Maintain law library


• Co-ordinate legal department activities


• Take minutes and follow up on meetings

Qualifications/Requirements

• At least three years of paralegal experience at an international law firm


• Ideally already based in the UAE


• Strong academics—Bachelor's degree in Law or other relevant subject


• Exceptional knowledge of legal principles, regulation, terminology and research techniques
