Join us as an Internal Communications Officer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organisation by driving communications strategies that directly impact our employees' experience and our collective success. Thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural environment where your communications expertise will elevate how our workforce is informed, engaged and inspired, while advancing your career on a global stage.

As an Internal Communications Officer, you will implement the internal communications strategy by producing and publishing high-quality communications content and moderating internal communications channels. You'll deliver on assigned activities and projects under the supervision of the Internal Communications Manager (ICM) or Manager Internal and Group Communications (MIC), and work closely with other Internal Communications team members to ensure that employee messaging across projects and departments is consistent and aligned with the corporate voice and strategy.

In this role, you will:
  • Drive internal communications best practice and work closely with the management team and other internal stakeholders to bring about a strategic and joined-up approach to internal communications.
  • Develop fit-for-purpose communications content and support channels to meet the needs of diverse internal audiences.
  • Plan, coordinate and manage internal employee events as assigned, both physical as well as virtual and hybrid.
  • Devise and manage the production of a range of visual communications, including video, print and digital collateral, and environmental/wall branding.
  • Devise, implement and evaluate internal communications plans on assigned projects, working closely with the relevant support departments or project managers involved.
  • Maintain an up-to-date forward plan for the communication of projects and key initiatives, and support the team in tracking and reporting on activities and campaigns.
  • Ensure that the content of internal communication channels, including visual assets, all work in support of the internal communications strategy, and are continually reviewed and improved.
  • Support business unit managers and equip them with messaging, consultancy, and the tools to communicate effectively and confidently with their teams.
Qualification
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in either internal or external communications.
  • Proven editorial experience and the ability to manage a project from research stage through to implementation with little supervision.
  • Strong understanding of communications principles.
  • Excellent written skills, and ideally able to create simple video and other visual communications content (e.g. posters, infographics etc).
  • Ability to present work quickly and accurately with creative flair.
  • Ability to analyse complex information and translate into simple messages.
  • Ability to understand and communicate persuasively issues and policies to different target audiences groups.
  • Tact and discretion to handle confidential information.
You will have an edge if you have:
  • Experience in graphic or digital design, or management of design projects.
  • Experience working on employee communications, leadership communications or employee engagement campaigns in a large or reputed company.
  • Experience of crisis communications.
  • Experience of working with creative agencies.
