As an Electrical Inspector (Site Operations) you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with electrical codes, regulations and safety standards across various construction and infrastructure projects in the UAE. Your responsibilities will encompass inspecting electrical systems, equipment and installations to verify their adherence to established guidelines and specifications. This role demands a meticulous approach, strong technical knowledge and a commitment to upholding safety protocols in all electrical operations.

Responsibilities
Inspection Duties
  • Conduct thorough inspections of electrical systems, equipment and installations to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards and specifications.
  • Review and interpret electrical plans, drawings and blueprints to assess compliance with regulatory requirements.
Code Compliance
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to local and international electrical codes, regulations and safety standards.
  • Identify non‑compliance issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions to ensure conformity with regulations.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, discrepancies and corrective measures taken.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, approvals and rejections for future reference and regulatory purposes.
Collaboration
  • Liaise with contractors, engineers and project managers to address electrical compliance issues and provide technical guidance as needed.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions related to electrical inspections, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
Safety Oversight
  • Promote and uphold electrical safety protocols and practices in accordance with industry standards.
  • Conduct safety inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure proper implementation of safety measures.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional certification as an Electrical Inspector is preferred.
  • Proven experience of 5–10 years as an Electrical Inspector in the construction/consultancy industry, particularly within the UAE.
  • In‑depth knowledge of electrical codes, regulations and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have site supervision experience.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Must be located inside the UAE.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications for documentation and reporting.

  • Willingness to travel to various project sites across the UAE.
  • Familiarity with construction safety practices and regulations.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
