Job summary

A leading Middle East based National Oil Company is seeking an Inspection Engineer to oversee inspection and testing requirements, develop contracts, and cooperate closely with the Corrosion Engineer. Candidates must have a B.Sc. in Mechanical Metallurgical Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience in the oil/gas industry. Competitive remuneration will be negotiated with successful candidates.

Qualifications

• 5 years inspection engineering experience in oil/gas industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform supervisory duties and exercise financial authority.
• Establish inspection and testing requirements.
• Develop and administer contracts for inspection surveys.
• Review budget proposals for refurbishment of vessels and equipment.
• Cooperate with the Corrosion Engineer to resolve corrosion issues.

ABOUT CLIENT: An exciting opportunity with an established leading Middle East based National Oil Company, that functions throughout onshore development sites as well as in the shallow coastal waters with a number of productive oil fields.

Responsibilities

• Performs supervisory duties and exercises financial authority at the level established by management for the position.
• Establishes inspection and testing requirements.
• Develops and administers contracts for inspection surveys of existing facilities. Sets criteria for selection of inspection contractors.
• Reviews budget proposals for the refurbishment of vessels, tanks, pipelines, and other equipment.
• Cooperates and communicates with the Corrosion Engineer to investigate / resolve issues related to corrosion.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. Mechanical Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience

• 5 years inspection engineering in oil/ gas industry
