Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking an experienced I&C / Electrical Area Coordinator for a nuclear plant in Abu Dhabi. The role requires over 7 years of experience in I&C or Electrical roles with mandatory nuclear industry exposure. I&C / Electrical Area Coordinator - Nuclear

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Contract: Initial 4-month contract

Visa/Sponsorship: Candidates must be eligible to work in the UAE

Overview

We are looking for an experienced I&C / Electrical Area Coordinator to manage all instrumentation, control, and electrical work fronts within designated nuclear plant areas. The role ensures all activities meet nuclear safety, radiological, and regulatory requirements while supporting outage and maintenance execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage I&C/Electrical work packs, permits, isolations, and area access
  • Support technicians working on instrumentation, control systems, cabling, panels, and nuclear-class equipment
  • Ensure strict compliance with nuclear electrical standards, safety procedures, and radiological controls
  • Coordinate daily activities with nuclear operations, mechanical teams, and other disciplines
  • Monitor progress across all assigned work fronts and elevate delays, risks, or technical issues
  • Provide clarifications related to drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Candidate Requirements
  • 7+ years' experience in I&C or Electrical roles
  • Mandatory: Nuclear industry experience (maintenance, outage, or operational)
  • Strong understanding of nuclear electrical isolation rules and instrumentation systems
  • Knowledge of nuclear codes, standards, and QA requirements
  • Ability to work safely within controlled and radiological areas
Work Schedule & Conditions
  • Standard: 8 hours per day, 6 days per week
  • Pre-outage: 40-48 hours per week (as required)
  • Outage period: Up to 72 hours per week, with overtime applicable after 48 hours
