Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

HVAC Multi Technician tasks to do highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting work of the building’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and ensuring that it is in perfect working order at all times. Also should have the knowledge and experience towards providing better service to customers in the field of MEP Technician and responsible for the operation and maintenance of all types of equipment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inspect HVAC Systems and their components (e.g. heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) to evaluate condition, identify necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenance.
2. Can carry out basic plumbing & electrical task in addition to the day-to-day HVAC tasks.
3. Adept at balancing air and water treatment systems in accordance with the HVAC protocols.
4. Exceptionally knowledgeable in providing Line Manager the required design and implementation of HVAC systems as required.
5. Good understanding of the local building codes and other authority regulations.
6. Can read and understand complex blueprints such as piping, sketches, schematics, wiring and HVAC diagrams. Also has the ability to interpret shop drawings and control schematics.
7. Well‑versed in installing and repairing pumps, motors, fan coils and piping. Can also perform brazing, soldering, pipefitting, welding and fabrication as required.
8. Performs troubleshooting, repair, routine and preventive maintenance of the building's rooftop units heating and cooling equipment, energy recovery ventilation (ERV), heat recovery ventilation (HRV) and other HVAC system combinations thereof.
9. Responsible for start‑up and commissioning of building automation systems.
10. Performs general maintenance of ventilation equipment (i.e., filter replacement, coil cleaning and drive belt repairs).
11. Experience in repairing and maintenance of hot water heating systems and electric heating systems.
12. Ability to determine whether a part of a system or the system in whole can be repaired or replaced.
13. Knowledgeable and has the ability to perform preventative and general maintenance tasks on HVAC systems.
14. Make best endeavour to resolve requests/complaints by the clients while maintaining most courteous composure and adhering to standard engineering practices at all times. Escalating non‑resolving calls immediately to supervisor/Engineers.
15. Operates various measuring tools or equipment's, diagnostic and testing instruments for MEP & HVAC System.
16. Maintain and checks proper stock of parts, tools, and safety equipment in the stockroom. Also use the company's spare materials carefully and sparingly.
17. Ensures that RAKP Health and Safety Policy are being followed and to immediately report any potential hazards, issues or incidents that may harm the business, people and or the brand.
18. To perform any additional tasks assigned by the Line Manager or by the Department Head.

Requisite Qualifications

• Secondary School / Diploma or Certificate
• Holder in HVAC System and other similar qualifications.
