Job summary

A construction and engineering company based in Dubai seeks a Civil Engineer to develop and implement HSE plans, monitor compliance with safety regulations, and conduct risk assessments. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in infrastructure projects, a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, and fluency in English, Urdu, and Arabic.

Job description
  • Develop and implement HSE plans in alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with RTA standards for excavation, backfilling, asphalt, tiles reinstatement, and safety requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety protocols are adhered to across project sites.
  • Provide guidance on ROW (Right of Way) regulations and ensure compliance with standards for corridors, cross-sections, and road furniture.
  • Supervise excavation, backfilling, and reinstatement processes as per industry best practices and RTA standards.
  • Ensure proper NDRC (Non-Destructive Road Crossing) methods are applied during projects.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and training sessions to improve safety awareness and adherence.
  • Collaborate with contractors, supervisors, and workers to foster a safety-first culture.
  • Maintain safety documentation, incident reports, and corrective action plans.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in service works, ideally within the dewatering, infrastructure road works, or related sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of ROW regulations, road furniture, and standard cross-sections and corridors.
  • Full understanding of excavation and backfilling methods as per RTA standards.
  • Expertise in safety requirements, asphalt, and tile reinstatement standards by RTA.
  • Familiarity with NDRC methods and safety measures in construction projects.
  • Proficiency in English, Urdu, and Arabic for effective communication.
