We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Human Resources department as an HR Assistant supporting our Operations teams.

Key job responsibilities

The HR Assistant is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides Human Resources support to our customer service centers. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing excellent internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. Tasks vary in volume and complexity, including internal auditing and internal/external reporting. They answer questions regarding a broad range of human resources benefits and payroll topics, manage cases, projects, and partner relationships with varying degrees of complexity, and adhere to strict confidentiality standards. Work is performed within Service Levels.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Responding quickly and accurately to employee questions, ensuring employee documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert for employees and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Providing training and guidance on policies, processes, and systems to stakeholders and team members.
  • Creating and distributing standard communications.
  • Auditing and analyzing key findings.
  • Leading process improvement initiatives and developing suggestions to maximize resource value.
  • Performing project tasks as directed.
  • Performing all other duties as needed.

*Amazon Operations and Distribution is a 24/7 environment; shifts may change due to business needs. This position requires full shift flexibility, including overtime, holidays, and weekends.

Minimum qualifications:

  • 6 months of human resources experience
  • 6 months of customer service experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
  • Experience in confidential environments
  • 1 year of human resources experience
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
