Household Operations Manager – Private Family Office (HNW)

Role Overview
Our client, a High-Net-Worth private family, is seeking an experienced Household Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of a private household. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth, organized, and efficient functioning of the household, allowing the Principal and family members to focus on their priorities without operational involvement. This is a hands‑on leadership role, suited to professionals with experience in luxury hospitality, private residences, embassy households, or estate management.
Reporting & Scope
- Reports directly to the Principal
- Works closely with the Accountant for finance-related processing
- Full operational oversight of Household staff, Vendors and service providers, Travel logistics and administration
- Acts as the primary operational point of contact between the family, staff, and external partners
Language Requirement (Mandatory)
- Fluent Arabic (spoken) – for communication with family members
- Fluent English (spoken & written) – for managing staff, agents, and vendors
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, schedule, and manage household staff (maids, drivers, cook, gardener)
- Supervise daily activities to ensure service standards are consistently met
- Maintain staff attendance, performance records, and smooth coverage
- Handle staff matters professionally, including replacements when required
- Oversee daily household operations, cleanliness, and readiness
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and service providers
- Ensure timely resolution of operational issues
- Support smooth handling of emergencies and urgent requirements
- Coordinate family travel arrangements including flights, accommodation, and transport
- Maintain travel calendars and track passports, visas, and documentation
- Liaise with approved travel agents and service providers
- Support urgent or last‑minute travel needs when required
- Track household documentation including IDs, visas, medical records, and renewals
- Coordinate with PROs, clinics, and service providers
- Maintain well‑organized digital and physical records
- Receive and manage routine household requests
- Coordinate execution through staff and vendors
- Escalate only exceptional or approval‑required matters to the Principal
Authority & Responsibility
- Operational authority over household staff and vendors
- Ability to approve routine household expenses within agreed limits
- Responsible for ensuring policies, routines, and service standards are followed
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in private villa management, HNW households, luxury hospitality, embassy residences, or estate management
- Experience managing multicultural household staff and external vendors
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Professional, calm, and discreet approach
- Comfortable working in a private, high‑standard environment
- Solution‑oriented with strong follow‑up discipline
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary up to AED 10,000 per month, depending on experience
