Job summary

Which is why we’re searching for a new Restaurant Host/Hostess confident in delivering unforgettable experiences through a warm welcome, inspired recommendations and seamless service from starter to dessert and beyond.

What a day looks like
  • Ensure that SOP basic standards are adhered to achieve the level of service established in the Departmental Operations Manual.
  • Take care of all restaurant bookings and prepare special requirements accordingly.
  • Assign table seating as per the reservation list to subordinates and check their performance periodically.
  • Welcome and greet guests according to the service standards.
  • Escort and provide buffet orientation, recommend food and beverage choices to guests.
  • Assist in maximizing the restaurant revenue by active social media marketing.
  • Handle restaurant mise‑en‑place such as preparing buffet tags, printing menus, and other administrative tasks required for daily operation.
  • Control requisitioning, storage, and careful use of all operating equipment and supplies.
  • Attend daily briefing with colleagues on preparation, service and menu.
  • Liaise with supporting departments on daily operation and quality.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned.
  • Attend all training sessions/programmers requested by the Hotel’s Management for Food Safety, Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
What we need from you
  • 2 years of related experience in the same role in a 5‑star luxury hotel or resort.
  • A naturally outgoing and friendly personality with a passion for service excellence that consistently delivers and demonstrates InterContinental service standards.
  • A true “team‑player” mentality and flexible attitude towards a diverse set of tasks.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Great communication – warm, welcoming, and easy to talk to. English is a must; another language will be an advantage.
