Job Summary
Establish, Implement, and maintain company HSE policy and procedures. Review and analyze HSE team results & implementation of HSE requirements for specific TAQA Project site.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, coordinate, measure performance, and report on all HSE activities.
- Compile monthly HSE reports as required covering performance, audits and other HSE updates.
- Monitor compliance of HSE requirements and handle nonconformance issues according to relevant Procedure
- Assist and guide all levels of management in relation to their responsibilities, and employees on site to implement accident
- Prevention activities plus, where necessary, provide interface to Contractors / Clients.
- Report to the HSE Director immediately accidents / incidents when they occur or any issue that may have a direct impact on HSE on site and requires their assistance and document accordingly on site.
- Maintain all safety records, i.e. incident and hazard registers, Scaffolding Register, Lifting Appliance Register, etc.
- Update, maintain and communicate the Project HSE Plan on an ongoing basis.
- Compile a schedule of HSE audits and inspections for the project and ensure approval by HSE Director.
- Conduct regular site HSE inspections / audits to determine project HSE performance, compliance and corrective actions addressed promptly.
- Conduct investigation of all accidents / dangerous occurrences & recommend appropriate corrective measures.
- Ensure the HSE team is fully aware and briefed on all daily planned and scheduled activities to ensure adequate HSE reviews have taken place and HSE resource allocation to monitor and supervise tasks where required.
- Register Customer complaints and take corrective action.
- Record, analyses and cascade lateral learning points from First Aid Cases, Near Miss Cases & Accidents to all project personnel and analyses the trends & effectiveness
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science with certification related to HSE.
- 3–5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably within TAQA projects and with exposure to construction or power transmission services.
- TAQA Approval as HSE Engineer is required.
- ISO 45001 Internal Auditor certification (preferred).
- Firefighting and First Aid certification (ADM approved, preferred).
- Strong knowledge of HSE policies, audits, inspections, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
