The company is a dominant force recognised for its unparalleled global supply network and strategic distribution channels across MENA, Africa and South Asia. To accelerate their ambitious international growth plans they are hiring a strategic Director of Global Sourcing & Market Expansion (Chemical Trading) to architect supplier ecosystems, diversify the product portfolio and solidify market leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing: Identify, vet and secure partnerships with global chemical suppliers (focus: China, Europe, Asia) to expand and diversify the core product portfolio.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build, nurture and maintain long‑term strategic partnerships with key global suppliers and manufacturers ensuring optimal terms and supply chain resilience.
- Market Expansion: Develop and execute data‑driven B2B marketing and sales strategies to penetrate and grow market share within MENA, Africa and South Asia.
- Channel & Partnership Development: Manage and distribution partnerships and networks to drive revenue growth.
- Commercial Strategy: Create and implement competitive pricing strategies, margin structures and market penetration plans to maximize profitability.
- Global Representation: Serve as the company’s primary international ambassador fostering strong relationships with key clients and trade partners.
- Brand & Market Presence: Lead strategic participation in global chemical trade shows and leverage digital marketing platforms.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure strict adherence to international trade regulations (REACH, RoHS, GCC standards).
- Logistics & Trade Operations: Coordinate and optimise end‑to‑end logistics including LC processes, shipping terms (Incoterms), and 3PL coordination leveraging Free Zone expertise (DMCC, JAFZA etc.).
Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in international chemical trade, including sourcing and B2B marketing.
- Strong supplier network across Asia (especially China), Europe, and international distributors.
- MBA/PGDM in International Business or a technical degree in Chemical Engineering with trade specialization.
- In‑depth understanding of Free Zone operations, international logistics and trade documentation.
- Familiarity with Incoterms, LC handling and third‑party logistics coordination.
- Knowledge of international regulatory compliance (REACH, RoHS, GCC guidelines).
- Strategic thinker with excellent negotiation, leadership and communication skills.
