Job summary

A leading firm in Dubai is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to oversee the accounting department. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience and strong leadership skills. Responsibilities include managing financial operations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulations. A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and proficiency in SAP is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and financial plans.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and government reporting requirements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods and policies.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and liaise with external auditors.
