To support their next stage of growth we are seeking a seasoned Group General Manager to oversee multi‑division operations, drive strategic alignment and ensure the highest standards of delivery and commercial success.
Responsibilities
- Strategic & Commercial Leadership
- Develop and implement short‑term and long‑term strategic plans aligned with group objectives.
- Lead business development initiatives and drive expansion across public and private sectors within the UAE and GCC.
- Monitor P&L performance, set financial targets and ensure sustainable profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, consultants and contractors.
- Operational Oversight
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations across sales, procurement, warehousing, project execution and after‑sales support.
- Ensure timely delivery and execution of high‑value projects.
- Monitor inventory levels, logistics efficiency and overall supply chain effectiveness.
- Implement operational KPIs and reporting systems across departments.
- Team & People Management
- Lead and mentor a cross‑functional team including Sales Managers, Project Engineers and Admin Staff.
- Foster a high‑performance culture and align teams to business and group goals.
- Oversee recruitment, training and succession planning.
- Ensure adherence to internal HR policies and UAE labor regulations.
- Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all operations comply with local regulations, industry standards and ISO certifications.
- Conduct regular reviews of risk, legal matters and quality assurance.
- Prepare business performance reports for senior stakeholders and group management.
- Lead company participation in public tenders and technical submissions.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Management (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in the electrical or lighting industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in the UAE.
- Proven experience managing full P&L and leading commercial and project‑based teams.
- Skills and Knowledge
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of the UAE market, especially in construction infrastructure and MEP segments.
- Excellent leadership and decision‑making skills.
- Strong commercial negotiation and contract management expertise.
- Familiarity with UAE regulatory requirements, ISO systems and quality standards.
- Languages and Communication
- Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
