Job Description:

A reputable hospital in Dubai is seeking a General Practitioner (GP Doctor) to join its clinical team. The GP will be responsible for providing primary medical care, diagnosing and treating a broad range of illnesses, and referring patients to specialists when necessary. The ideal candidate will have a DHA license or eligibility, excellent clinical judgment, and a patient-centered approach to healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Care & Diagnosis:

Conduct routine and urgent medical consultations across all age groups.

Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.

Provide preventive healthcare, including health education and vaccinations.

Refer patients to specialists or consultants when advanced care is needed.

Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and patient histories.

Ensure timely follow-up and monitoring of treatment plans.

Collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient care.

Compliance & Safety:

Comply with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulations and hospital protocols.

Adhere to infection control and patient safety policies.

Participate in clinical audits, peer reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.

Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications.

Offer emotional and psychological support where appropriate.

Candidate Requirements:

Education & Certification:

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent Required.

Valid DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter Mandatory.

BLS/ACLS certification Preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of clinical experience post-qualification (UAE or international).

Experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings preferred.

Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

Familiarity with EMR systems and digital patient records.

Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
